Deva Development Public Company Limited (DEVA) was originally established as RL Business Company Limited on September 9, 1996. The company later changed its name to Barossa Company Limited on July 17, 1998. Several land plots were acquired for the land bank, which initially allowed the Company to develop the Tara DEVA project under the name “Spirit of Asia”.
In March 2004 “Spirit of Asia” changed its name to “DEVA Property Co., Ltd.” The Company later increased its registered capital to Baht 1,250 million. Although paid-up share capital is currently Baht 1,000 million, in advance of an anticipated listing in 2007, registered capital was raised in late 2006 to 1,350 million. In order to better reflect the developmental nature of its business, DEVA dropped “Property” from its name and became known as Deva Development in May 2007.
